CRM Group has recently acquired a fully integrated system for Hybrid manufacturing of large metallic parts*. This system consists on a robot on which three different building heads can be mounted: a laser-powder head, a laser-wire one (WLAM) and an arc wire one (WAAM). Three handling systems are coupled to the equipment with a capacity up to 2.3 tons.

This technology will be used to coat surfaces, to perform reparations on large parts, to build structures and demonstrators. Moreover, if no powder is blown, the laser can be used for surface reprocessing (e.g., re‑melting).
