Batfactory
Batteries and materials for stationary energy storage intended for collective applications (CEC, CER, and P2P as well as housing) produced through environmentally friendly processes that promote circularity.
Objectives
The activities of the future “BatFactory” portfolio aim, on the one hand, to mobilize R&I skills in FWB in favor of Wallonia’s private-sector players in the service of economic, environmental and societal development, and on the other hand, to produce as a final deliverable high-performance materials for instrumented storage batteries, using processes that are environmentally friendly, intelligent and facilitate circularity.

Description
The Batfactory project is dedicated to the production of batteries and battery components for stationary electrical energy storage and collective applications. The project involves scaling up developments to pilot scale to facilitate integration and transfer to companies, as well as standardized validation of performance in line with the needs of regional and European markets. The CRM is involved in transferring the manufacture of R2R current collectors and electrodes to the pilot step. The pilot lines will have to be upgraded to make them compatible with the very thin thicknesses required for batteries field.
