CRM Group Receives Its Second Consecutive Sustainable Entrepreneurship Certification

News

On October 17, 2024, CRM Group was honored at the AKT CCI Liège-Verviers-Namur gala, celebrating our second year of Sustainable Entrepreneurship Certification. This recognition highlights our commitment to integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into all our activities and promoting sustainable practices throughout our organization.

What is the CCI and what does this certification entail?

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Liège-Verviers-Namur supports companies in their entrepreneurial efforts and commitment to sustainability. Since 2023, CRM Group has been participating in a three-year certification program in sustainable entrepreneurship, overseen by the CCI. This process will culminate in a certification awarded by UNITAR, a United Nations agency specialized in sustainable development.

This certification aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations, a set of 17 ambitious goals aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all. At CRM Group, we have focused our efforts on five priority goals, including reducing our carbon footprint, optimizing resources, and driving sustainable innovation.

Our concrete commitments to sustainability

Since the beginning of this certification process, we have implemented more than 30 concrete actions in favor of sustainability, particularly in the areas of the circular economy, energy transition, and carbon neutrality. Among these initiatives, we have:

  • Conducted an in-depth assessment of our carbon footprint, including scope 3 emissions;
  • Launched projects to reduce energy consumption through our energy transformation plan;
  • Extended our rainwater management practices to cool equipment and preserve natural resources;
  • Promoted biodiversity by creating insect hotels and reptile habitats;
  • Supported the decarbonization of our industrial processes through innovations such as material revalorization.

A team dedicated to sustainability

A special thanks to our colleague Lionel, who plays a key role in integrating these sustainable practices into our activities. His commitment to the environment and the SDGs is a true inspiration for the entire company. Thanks to his efforts, and those of all our employees, we continue to strengthen our position as a key player in sustainable innovation in Wallonia and Europe.

Toward a sustainable future

CRM Group remains committed to advancing its sustainable development initiatives. This certification is more than just a recognition—it embodies our vision for a future where technology, the circular economy, and emission reductions go hand in hand to protect our planet and foster sustainable prosperity.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far, and we look forward to continuing on this path to meet the climate and industrial challenges of tomorrow.
