MULPIC

The MULPIC® process (MULti-Purpose Interrupted Cooling) is a cooling process dedicated to plates originally developed in the early 80’s by CRM Group (with 3 initial industrial references) and now commercialised by PRIMETALS Technologies since 2002.

Installed at the exit of the plate finishing mill, this cooling equipment is based on the water pillow technology of CRM Group. It allows to process plate thicknesses from 10 to 120 mm (on a maximum width of 5 m) and to modulate a large range of possible thermal treatment from ACC to DQ cycles.

More than 20 installations are currently operated around the world.
