Continuous Annealing & Galvanizing line (GALVA)
The Continuous Annealing & Galvanizing Line was commissioned by CRM group in 1988. Since then, many technical additions and improvements were realised to increase its flexibility and meet customers’ requests.
Examples of former developments:
- GA galvanealing (square cycle, misting jets)
- Zn floater, Zn quenching
- Oxydation for HSS
- Powder spraying onto liquid Zn
- EMG motion of zinc / dross
- Special wiping (EMG by CRM, hydrodynamic systems)
- Fast heating by induction
- On line carburising / nitriding
- Controlled quenching, notably the Howaq and Twice processes which are now industrially applied to produce (Ultra) High Strength Steels
