Conditioning in solid state is performed either on initial materials (granular materials, scales, swarfs, dusts, shredded residues, dewatered sludges, etc) or on solid products. It generally includes comprehensive dividing and sampling operations on bulk deliveries, then one or several preparation steps such as crushing, grinding, screening, sieving and magnetic separation of metallic fractions.  Finally, samples can optionally be dried and/or mixed with other materials.
